Sanctuary Restoration - May, 2004

The work has begun!

The carpet and pews were removed in the first week.
Folding chairs have temporarily replaced the pews.
Fellowship hour is held after the service in the Sanctuary
while the work is in progress.
Bill and Ken had to crawl under the Sanctuary
to unbolt some of the partitions for painting
and later installation of the flooring.
Fellowship Hall has become the pew restoration center.

The pews have been reinforced to broaden the support
under the seats.
New brackets have been installed to support the beam
under the pew, both on the end and on the wall
where they are installed in the sactuary.
In some cases the old beams have been replaced.
